Biography
Multiple champion of the USSR (1950, 1952,?, 1959) in the team race for 100 km and other cycling disciplines. The winner of the World Cycle Race (1956, 1958) as a member of the USSR team that won the team competition, the winner of stage 12 ( Prague ) of World Cycle Race 1956, and stage 8 part b ( Karl-Marx-Stadt ) World Cycle Race 1958 individually. Winner of the Games of the peoples of the USSR 1959 . Yevgeny Klevtsov is the first Kursk Olympic medalist, and the first Kurian is the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1959).
Until 1948 he lived in Oboyan , Kursk region , worked as a mechanic in the MTS. For the first time he took part in cycling competitions in 1948 in Kursk , at the age of 18, and won first place with a large margin. In the same year, he became the best rural racer of Russia at the All-Russian Rural Games in Pyatigorsk , after which he was invited to Moscow, to the club of CDKA .
