Arvo Survo ( Fin. Arvo Survo ; born August 22, 1954 ) is a Lutheran pastor , one of the participants in the renaissance of the Church of Ingria , a poet , musician, collector of folklore and songwriter of Christian music. By origin - Ingermanland Finn .

Biography
Born in Gatchina in a family of Ingrian Finns, spent his childhood in the village. Kikerino near the Gubanitsky church .
He studied dialects of the Finnish language , poetry, and also from a youth was interested in theology. In addition to Russian, he speaks Finnish, Estonian , Gypsy , Erzyan , Moksha , Vodsk and Izhora languages to varying degrees [1] .
He received his theological education in Estonia at the Theological Institute under the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Estonia . In 1983, he was ordained deacon , and in 1987, pastor. In 1989, he became the first local rector of the Pushkin Evangelical Lutheran parish , which was then part of the Estonian Lutheran Church.
In 1988, he initiated the revival of the Gubanitsky Lutheran parish. With this began the revival of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria [2] .
As the only clergyman, Survo, along with active parishioners, founded the first of the revived parishes of the Church of Ingria: Narvusi-Kosemkina , Haapakangas , Tuutari , Tyurö , Hietamyaki , Valkeasaari ; in St. Petersburg - the church of St. Mary , in Gatchina , Skvoritsy , Toksovo , Vyborg , Zelenogorsk , Volosovo , Kingisepp , etc.
In the early 1990s, Survo initiated the creation of two Lutheran parishes in Saransk (Mordovia): in Erzya and Moksha.
Due to the rapid growth in the number of parishes in 1990, the authorities allowed the creation of the Ingermanland probation as part of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church. In 1992, the independent Church of Ingria received official recognition.
In 1992, Arvo Survo refused the bishop offered to him and became rector of the Gubanitsky parish.
In 1999, voluntarily resigned as rector of the Gubanitsky parish and emigrated to Finland, where he serves as a pastor and missionary at the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Union ( SLEY ).
Married, has three children.
Creativity
He plays the guitar and kantele, composes spiritual songs in Finnish, Russian, Gypsy, Mordovian and Estonian, and translates a lot of spiritual poetry.
