Bus route 400 was opened on March 21, 1966 [1] . Originally, it was an express train : the main part of the route passes along the Leningradskoye Highway , and until the end of 2006, stops were made only in Zelenograd (at several stops) and in Moscow (two - “ Neva Cinema ” (on request, when driving to Moscow) and " River Station " ").

Initially, the starting point (until 2003) on the way to Moscow was the Square of Youth - the traditional center of Zelenograd, and the terminus on the way back (until 2017) was Severnaya (next to the Zelenograd Automobile Combine ). In 2003, during the reconstruction of the nearby 3rd microdistrict, the starting stop was temporarily transferred to Central Avenue to the stop “Ocean Store” [2] ; subsequently, this decision was retained as better from the point of view of organizing traffic in the city center.

On November 6, 2006, the route No. 400K (400- “red”) was opened, which duplicated No. 400 with the difference that it departed from the “14th Microdistrict” stop in the Kryukovo area (New Town), followed Panfilovsky Avenue and traveled to Leningradskoye shosse near the memorial complex "Shtyki" (40th km), and on the Leningradskoye highway itself had a number of stops (while No. 400 followed the highway without stopping) [3] . On March 24, 2007, due to an incomplete bus load, the route was somewhat adjusted: following Panfilovsky Avenue, it began to turn off onto Central Avenue to the stop “Ocean Store” and then repeated route No. 400 (leaving for Leningradskoye Highway at the 37th km ); the route from Moscow was similarly corrected [4] . On December 27, 2009, the 400K route was transferred to a message from the Mitino metro station on Pyatnitskoe Highway [5] (see the section Bus route No. 400K below).

In connection with the transfer of the 400K route to the Pyatnitsky highway, residents of the district no longer have an opportunity to exit at stops on the Leningradskoye highway, and on February 15, 2010, at the request of district 400 residents, was divided into two options - stop (400) and express (400E) [ 6] ; the suspension option envisaged both disembarking and disembarking passengers at the equipped stops on the Leningradskoye Highway. From August 25 of the same year, the express version (400E) also began to make several stops on the Leningradskoye Highway, but only on demand and only for disembarking [7] .

On July 1, 2015, route no. 400E was transferred to the traffic pattern through the open section of the M11 (“new” Leningradka) toll highway under construction [8] , without stopping at a modified section. December 31, 2017 in connection with the opening of the metro station " Khovrino " route added an intermediate stop at the new station [8] . In connection with the opening of the transport hub around the metro station "Khovrino" on December 22, 2018, the metro station "Khovrino" became the terminus of the route [9] . After commissioning of the Northern Gate bus station from December 28, 2018, the stop received its permanent seat [10] at the metro station for boarding and disembarking passengers.

On July 29, 2017, to compensate for the routes of commercial carriers liquidated as part of the reform of the Moscow public transport system, the starting stop on the way to Moscow and the final stop on the way back for route 400 were moved to Kryukovo station.

This is a section on the 400K route that runs along the Pyatnitsky highway . On the route of the same name that passed along the Leningradskoye Highway in 2006–2009, see the section on the relevant section.

At the end of 2009, in connection with the plans to open a new metro station, Mitino , in order to improve the communication of Zelenograd with Moscow, it was planned to open a new bus route No. 500, which would follow the Pyatnitskoye highway , not Leningradsky. However, shortly before the opening, it was decided not to introduce the new route No. 500, but to redirect the 400K route to it from December 27, 2009 [5] .

Initially, it followed to the metro station "Mitino", stopping also at the metro station " Pyatnitskoe Highway " (in both directions). On July 29, 2017, to compensate the routes of commercial carriers liquidated as part of the reform of the public transport system in Moscow, the route was extended to the Skhodnenskaya metro station (while maintaining stops at the Mitino and Pyatnitskoe Highway metro stations).

Bus route number 400T (400- "Tushino") was opened on February 11, 2013 and initially largely repeated route No. 400K with the difference that it departs from the 16th microdistrict, stopped at the Kryukovo station and followed the Mitino area to the station metro station " Tushinskaya " without arrival at the metro station " Mitino " (but with a stop at the metro station " Pyatnitskoe highway ") [11] .

Fare payment

You can pay for the fare by buying a “United” ticket for one ride from the driver (cost for 2018 is 55 rubles) or at the landing stops of the route, or via the multi-trip “Single” with a record on the Troika card, as well as using an unlimited ticket for one calendar month [16] (cost for 2018 - 2,648 rubles) [17] ; There is a social card of a Muscovite and a resident of the Moscow Region (free travel) and a reduced fare for schoolchildren and students on a preferential fare to the ground-based urban passenger transport, uniform for the whole of Moscow.

When moving from Moscow after the first stop in Zelenograd, there are also regular (not interzonal) travel documents - single tickets for traveling on land-based urban passenger transport and the metro for 1-60 trips and unlimited single monthly travel. In addition to Zelenograd, the 400th stop zone of zone “A” also operates from the station “Rechnoy Vokzal” metro station to the stop “Black Dirt” [i 1] .

Rolling Stock

On buses 400e and 400k only high-floor buses of suburban class work (LiAZy-5256.13 / 23, GolAZ-525110-10 / 11 Voyazh), on routes 400p and 400t - high-floor (see above) and low-floor buses of big and very large capacity ( LiAZ-5292 , MAZ-107 , Volzhanin-6270.06 ). [i 2]

Wireless Internet Connection Experiment

In 2011–2012 , Wi-Fi equipment was installed on 15 regular buses of routes 400 and 400K as part of an experiment to introduce wireless Internet communications on land-based urban passenger transport. If successful, it was planned to expand the possibility of wireless Internet access to other routes of ground urban passenger transport; however, the experiment has not received development. In the spring of 2015, there were reports of plans to resume access within the framework of the all-Moscow program by the end of 2015 [18] .
