Perspectives
Under construction (behind the Vokzalnaya station): Theater , Central and Historical Museum .
In January 2008, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko , on a visit to Dnepropetrovsk, promised to allocate money for opening two stations by the end of the year: Parus and Parus 2, as well as for the purchase of equipment (2 horizontal shields, 1 - vertical and 1 - inclined tunneling) to start the full-fledged construction of the Teatralnaya, Central and Historical Museum stations. There are also plans to build Dnepr stations (east of the Historical Museum) and South Station. [2] . But all these promises were not fulfilled, and after the refusal of Dnepropetrovsk to hold the European Football Championship, the prospects for the subway became completely foggy. July 26, 2009 the construction of the subway was completely stopped. In August 2009, there was information that the construction of the subway would be resumed in October due to loans provided by the government and private Chinese investors, for a total of UAH 16 billion, but this information was not confirmed in any way. Residents of the city practically do not use the metro for any long trips.
