He was born on August 18, 1976 in the city of Wetzlar in Germany . He studied classical song and dance and sang in the youthful folk dance symphony orchestra in Windsbach . After training at the SAE Institute (Institute of Audio Engineering), Mootz worked with experimental hip hop / illbient on the Chrome label, which is part of Force Inc Music Works . Thanks to the direction of several drum'n'bass vinyl records and many singles, as well as being the A&R manager of Chrome (later renamed Position Chrome), Panacea became known for expanding the boundaries of drum'n'bass in the direction of industrial and hardcore directions. In live performances, his DJ sets merged all genres together. Thanks to the third-party project m², Mathis discovered more of the minimal side of electronic music. Muts now lives and works in the town of Sommerhausen , near Würzburg .
Mathis's DJ sets are amazing: he mixes drum'n'bass and hardcore , and also includes techno and industrial parts. The labels on which he releases his music are also impressive: Mille Plateaux , Ant-Zen , Hands Productions , Ambush , Ad Noiseam , Kniteforce , Intransigent and Outbreak - and this is not a complete list. The resurgence of Position Chrome Records and support for Offkey Records also had a positive impact on The Panacea, which recently joined Anger Management ’s official DJ list and will now be released on Dylan Freak Recordings Records .
