History

Published since January 16, 1991 . In the early years of its existence (1991-1995) it was a weekly , then the output format changed several times. Currently, the newspaper is published 2 times a week - on Tuesday (16 pages) and Friday (16 pages). He focuses on events in football, ice hockey, handball, and basketball.

As the leading sports newspaper of the country, Pressball annually conducts a survey of specialists, players and journalists for the title of best football player in Belarus . In addition, the publication represents Belarus in prestigious surveys of the France Football newspaper to determine the owner of the Golden Ball and numerous plebiscites of the International Association of Football History and Statistics. The main competitor in the national media market is the Sportivnaya Panorama newspaper (“Athlete of Belarus”, “Athlete of Belarus”). At present, the editor-in-chief of the publication (since April 2014) is Sergey Kayko, previously Vladimir Berezhkov (1995–2014) and Alexander Borisevich (1991–1995).

Yuri Dovnar has been the permanent leader of the pressball.by newspaper website since its launch on April 1, 2002 [1] .
