Winter Garden ( English winter garden , French jardin d'hiver , German Wintergarten ) - a heated room with natural light, designed to accommodate exotic and not winter-hardy, as well as indoor plants. The winter garden is usually a glazed room with a metal, aluminum, wooden frame or veranda as a continuation of the living room.
As part of the house, protected from wind and rain by glazing, the winter garden came into vogue following the technical introduction of home heating in European country estates of the 19th century to accommodate garden palms for the winter. Currently, the room, as a transition between the house and the garden, is used for families with a view of the garden or park .
The winter garden should not be confused with a greenhouse located outside the house and intended for growing plants .
