Biography
Born in Leningrad e [1] . He lived in Gomel .
In 1990 he emigrated to the United States.
Since mid- 1991, he worked at Washburn . At first he rebuilt guitars, then he began to directly create them. Under the Washburn brand, he made a guitar commissioned by Jimmy Page , and later performed instruments for such musicians as Daymbag Darrell , Robert Plant , Paul Stanley , Buddy Guy , Jennifer Batten , Nunu Bettancourt [2] . Since 2000 , the master of the company Fender .
According to Shishkov himself,
I made my first guitar in 1986 , and it was a copy of the Fender Stratocaster . I always wanted to have such a guitar, but I saw it only in pictures, and I did not have the opportunity to hold it in my hands. When I finished this guitar, I was very impressed with my creation, and, as I said earlier, people began to ask me to do the same for them. I opened a small workshop and began making guitars in my cellar. It was a very small room, designed to store vegetables in the winter, and completely unsuitable for any work with wood, and indeed for any work [1] .
