Content
Geography
The village is located just above the confluence of the Zolka and Wet Zolka rivers, from which it got its name [6] .
Distance to the regional center : 164 km. Distance to the district center : 28 km.
History
The village was founded on October 11, 1848 [6] [7] , by immigrants from the Voronezh, Kharkov and Poltava provinces of the Russian Empire. The original name of the village - Bogatinsky, was associated with the spring of the same name, located at the new village.
In 1863, the village was transformed into a village, which was given a new name - Zolskaya, along the nearby Zolka River [8] .
