Biography
Father - Wogan Karl Ludwig Weigelt, merchant. Mother - Maria Sofia, nee von der Sassen (Von-der-Sassen).
Freelance student at the Imperial Academy of Arts . He received small silver medals of the Academy (1844 and 1836). He graduated from the Academy of Arts (1835) with the title of free artist and was appointed to the Commission for the renewal of the Winter Palace as an assistant architect.
January 3, 1838 promoted to college registrars and awarded a gold medal on the St. Andrew's ribbon for wearing in a buttonhole in memory of the resumption of the Winter Palace .
From May 1, 1844 to April 1, 1850, he was at the reconstruction of the Marble Palace and the house under his house under the authority of the Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty the younger architect.
December 30, 1849 was appointed to the Commission on the restructuring of St. Isaac's Cathedral as a draftsman.
He received the title of "appointed to academics" (1850) [2] .
Received the title of academician (1858) [1] for art and knowledge in architectural art, recognized as an academician with rights and advantages. In reward for the efforts and diligence shown during the construction of St. Isaac's Cathedral, he was bestowed with the Knight of the Order of St. Stanislav of the 3rd degree and, moreover, was awarded a gold medal on the St. Andrew's ribbon for wearing in his buttonhole.
April 17, 1855 appointed to work on the construction of a monument to Emperor Nicholas I.
November 6, 1856 received a bronze dark medal on the St. Andrew's ribbon in memory of the war of 1853-1856 . November 29, 1856 promoted to provincial secretary with seniority. By the decree of the Governing Senate of August 4, 1859 No. 94, the rank of academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts was approved as a titular adviser on April 30, 1858.
He was married to Louise Fedorova, from whom he had sons: Robert, Adolf, Vladimir and daughters: Maria, Olga and Alexandra.
He died in the Alexander Hospital of St. Petersburg from tuberculosis (1867).
