Designed to damage unarmored or lightly armored vehicles , small structures and incapacitating enemy soldiers in confined spaces in battle. The goals of the grenade are achieved due to its throw by hand.
The radius of the destruction of the grenade is 2 meters, the radius of the possible defeat is 15 meters, it is intended to inflict damage primarily by the force of the explosion. According to American standards, the radius of a fatal injury to a person by the shock wave of this grenade is 2 meters.
Grenade explosion occurs 4-6 seconds after the release of the clamping lever. Before throwing, the safety ring must first be removed by pressing the lever with your fingers to the body of the grenade.
The cylindrical body of a grenade consists of two halves made of a thin-walled metal pipe or pressed paper, and has a threaded socket for installing an M6A4, M204 or M206A1 fuse. The combat grenade is painted black.
