USS Blue (DD-387)

DD 387 Blue (United States Blue Ship) is an American Bagley type destroyer.

Laid down at the Norfolk Navy Yard shipyard on September 25, 1935 . Launched on May 27, 1937 , entered service on August 14, 1937 .

On August 22, 1942, it was severely damaged by the torpedo of the Japanese destroyer " Kawakaze " near the island of Guadalcanal . Flooded on August 23, 1942 in the Slot Strait .

Expelled from the U.S. Navy on September 11, 1942 .
