Tekko has the form of stirrups or the Latin letter " D "
Tekko ( Jap. 鉄 甲 ) - Japanese brass knuckles - an ax with a crescent-shaped blade [1] .
Used in classic martial arts . According to one version, was developed on the island of Okinawa , Japan . Traditionally made of wood or metal .
According to martial arts historians, Tekko appeared when the warriors in Okinawa used the stirrups of their horses as a substitute for weapons to protect themselves from a sudden attack. Later, Takko was modified and turned into a simple and effective weapon that became a popular self-defense weapon in ancient Okinawa, because it is small, easy to hide, and it can cause serious injuries.
