Biography
Born October 27, 1914 in the village of Pol-Assumption (now - Krasnozorensky district of the Oryol region) in the family of an employee.
In 1938 he graduated from the Pedagogical Institute in Kursk , worked as a teacher, then director of a junior high school.
In 1939 he went to serve in the army, in 1941 he graduated from the Kharkov Military Aviation School .
He got to the front of World War II in October 1941. He served as the navigator of the squadron of the 34th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment (consisting of the 276th Bomber Aviation Division, 1st Air Army , 3rd Belorussian Front ) with the rank of senior lieutenant.
As of March 1945 made 175 sorties on reconnaissance and bombing of enemy troops.
On one of the flights, he was injured, but was able to land the plane at his airport.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on June 29, 1945.
After the war, he continued to serve in the Air Force , in 1955, with the rank of major, he was transferred to the reserve.
He lived and worked in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region . He died on June 9, 1977 .
