Yervand and Yervaz (in Armenian. Վրվանդ և Երվազ ), Yeruand and Eruaz - in Armenian mythology , twin brothers born from an affair with a bull from the royal family of Arshakuni , distinguished by enormous height, large facial features, excessive sensuality. Yervand and Yervaz are endowed with the functions of cultural heroes. Yervand, becoming the king of Armenia, builds a city, temples; he appoints Yervaz as the main priest of the new temple in Bagaran . From the glance of Yervand, endowed with magical power (the evil eye), granite burst. In the epic " Vipasank " Yervand is either an evil vishap , or a good king (cf. Artavazd ). According to another variant, Yervand as an evil vishap is caj in the muddy waters of rivers.
