Takeoff (the correct name is “Airport” ) is a city housing mass that arose at the site of a part of the airfield of Krasnoyarsk Airport. The word “ Vzletka ” is vulgarism that has taken root in the main part of the city’s inhabitants, diminution of the phrase “take-off strip” - the construction site of the region.
Consists of several neighborhoods. Construction of the array began in the late 1980s. In Soviet times, it was planned to build the building of the Kraykom of the CPSU and the planetarium (now demolished), but it was never completed [1] .
At the site of the former main airport building, an intercity Krasnoyarsk bus station is now located.
The housing estate is favorably located in terms of geographical location: 15-20 minutes by car to the center , the same to the right bank (near the Oktyabrsky Bridge ).
Content
Infrastructure
In the part called “New Takeoff”, is located one of the major urban markets . In the residential area there are central offices of the cellular companies Beeline , MTS , Megafon . Next to school 145 is building number 5 of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University , where the Institute of Psychological and Pedagogical Education (IPPO) and the Faculty of History are located.
Several huge shopping and business centers , such as the Planeta shopping and entertainment center, the Siberia Exhibition and Business Center, the Komandor furniture center, the 30-storey building of the First Tower business center, the Optima shopping center, and TK "Vzlyotka-Plaza" and the business center "Spring". The building of the bankrupt Alpi hypermarket housed the Sibirsky Gorodok shopping center.
In the residential area there are supermarkets: "Commander", "Krasny Yar", several construction markets. It is easy to find good gyms , restaurants and cafes . In the building of the residential complex “Koda”, among the numerous offices located on the first floors, there is a clinic of plastic surgery.
In 2013, the construction of a sixteen-storey three-star world-class hotel “ Hilton ” was completed [2] .
Gardening
In the area of the takeoff, several squares are broken: “Our ten” square, “Builders” square.
As part of the Krasnoyarsk urban gardening program “To a Millionth City - Million Trees”, the city’s mayor Edkham Akbulatov announced that a new large park “400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk” will be built in the area of the Siberia International Exhibition Center, which was created in 2008 [3] .
Schools and kindergartens
In the residential area Airport there are three schools - № 145, 149, 150, seven kindergartens - № 9, 11, 43, 46, 76, 140, 333 and two private kindergartens: "Sibiryat" and "Toto".
Prices
On average, housing prices range from 54,271 to 70,000 rubles. per m² (new buildings and secondary market, respectively) [4] .
Disadvantages
One of the main drawbacks of the residential massif, besides its location in the new part of the city, which is being built up and blown by all the winds, which is often not liked by the indigenous Krasnoyarsk people, is the lack of trees, crowding, panel ten-story buildings, narrow streets, overcrowding — the usual signs of a typical marginal sleeping area built up in the 80–90s of the 20th century [5] . The location of the housing massif in terms of seismic resistance was also considered not the most successful [6] .
In addition, notes sometimes appear in the press asking rhetorical questions: how useful it is to live in an area where the corpses of captured Japanese were buried after World War II , and later leftover aviation fuel was poured into the ground.
