One of the sisters (the eldest) Brumberg , who worked for many years together to create cartoons, many of which became classics of Soviet animation [1] .

Biography

Born on August 2, 1899.

In 1924 , after graduating from VKHUTEMAS , together with promising young artists, she entered the service of the first experimental animation workshop at the State College of Cinematography.

On the stage of the Moscow Theater for Children in 1927, director Natalia Sats first introduced animation as one of the elements of the play. The Brumberg sisters are working on the productions of Ebony and Monkey and Pro Dziuba.

The first period of creativity is characterized by a realistic manner of animation. In the 1960s, searches and experiments began, which led to the appearance of works that differ from the usual ones. For example, in 1961, the film " Big Trouble " was released, drawn in the style of children's drawings. Despite the diversity of work, each of them recognizes the style of the master. Fyodor Khitruk spoke about the Brumberg sisters [1] :

There is such an expression "bright memory." I think that the "bright and cheerful memory" is best suited to the Brumberg sisters. I remember them just like that - noisy, incredibly energetic, to some extent even frivolous and not serious at work. Although I know that they are very much and carefully prepared for their paintings. In general, I am pleased to just remember them, because I myself become younger, more fun and energetic. Something lost is coming back ...
