Museum-apartment of A. D. Sakharov (Nizhny Novgorod)

The museum consists of two parts:

• Memorial exposure. The decor and interior of Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov’s apartment is being recreated, in which he spent seven years of exile under the supervision of the KGB .
• Exposition hall. Here you can find materials about the life and work of a scientist during his work at the Sarov Federal Nuclear Center , the film “Andrei Sakharov - Secret Years” is on display. Every year on December 14 , on the day of Sakharov’s memory, his death mask is displayed.

For school students, the museum staff developed a cycle of thematic conversations and lectures on topics highlighting the creative path of A. D. Sakharov:

• "BUT. D. Sakharov - the father of the Soviet hydrogen bomb "
• "Gorky Link"
• “To preserve the human in a person” - on the work of A. D. Sakharov “The World in Half a Century”, “The Sakharov Memorandum - a Memo on the Preservation of Life on Earth”.
