Subsonic speed

Subsonic speed - the speed of movement of the body ( vehicle , in a particular case), less than the speed of propagation of sound vibrations under given conditions in a given environment.

For example, in air under normal conditions, the speed of sound is 331.46 m / s (1193 km / h).

The speed of sound can vary depending on environmental conditions (for example, with a higher density of the medium, sound travels faster).

At subsonic speed, the best streamlined shape is drop-shaped . When moving at subsonic speed, the increase in air resistance (or other substance) is not directly proportional to the increase in body speed. Air has the greatest resistance at a speed of 1 M (1 Max ).
