Enology (from other Greek. Οἶνος - "wine") is the science of wine.
Basic Information
Oenology includes winemaking - a controlled process of turning grape juice into wine by fermentation and information about the subsequent care of the wine and its proper storage [1] .
Oenologist is a specialist who assesses vineyards, breaks down soil, water and wine. Usually he grows grapes and is engaged in the production of wine (winemaking).
