History

Toni & Guy, as a hair care company, was founded in London in 1963 by the brothers Giuseppe (Toni) and Gaetano (Guy) Mascolo, who were later joined by the younger brothers Bruno and Anthony. In the company there are more than 400 salons. Tony & Guy won awards such as London Hairdresser of the Year (11 times) and South West Hairdresser of the Year 2006.

The company has its own magazine in the UK and its own television channel “Toni and Guy.TV”, as well as showrooms around the world and academies in the UK, Ireland, Germany, USA, Norway, Canada, the Netherlands , Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Sweden, Spain, Russia and Ukraine. In addition, the company produces hair care products (LABEL M) and tools for creating hairstyles (hair irons). The company has a group of salons called Essensuals, which is led by the children of Giuseppe Mascolo, Sasha Mascolo-Tarbuk and Christian Mascolo.

In 1975, they took the first step towards education and responded to the proposal to arrange a show for college students throughout the United Kingdom.

In 1976, Bruno published the first book on hairdressing.

In 1978, Toni & Guy, together with the art group, took part in the salon-78. Anthony's coiffure made her harass the audience standing up. In the same year, a salon opens in Rome, and in the next - an academy.

In 1985, Bruno went to the United States where he opened a salon in Dallas on Sherry Lane. Anthony receives the prize of the British hairdressing Awards in the nomination "Best Hairdresser of the Year." This is the Oscar of hairdressing.

In 1990, Anthony immediately received 2 awards from the British hairdressing Awards: the London hairdresser Godi and the British hairdresser of the year. Throughout the 1990s, Toni & Guy continued to grow, opening more and more salons in the United States and Japan, as well as in Guilford, Windsor and Richmond. In addition, there is a new managing office in Brentford and the Academy in Dallas. In addition, Anthony organized a British tour for the Commonwealth of Hairdressers.

In 1996, the first book on the coloring technique “Color with Attitude” was published, accompanied by video from the collection of the year. Showrooms opened in Singapore, Dublin, Glasgow.

In 2006, during its existence, Toni & Guy received 85 awards, 47 of which were presented at the British hairdressing Awards. Toni & Guy has repeatedly won the title Superbrand (this award is received only by the most famous and strong brands in the UK) - in 2005,2006,2008 / 09, as well as the title Cool Brand in 2006. Toni & Guy is the first hairdressing company to ever receive these two awards.

In 2009, Toni & Guy opened its production in Yekaterinburg.

Since 1963, the founding of the company to this day, Toni & Guy has grown from a salon in the south of London into an international organization uniting salons and academies around the world. Toni & Guy is one of the most respectable hairdressing labels. Today, the corporation has become worldwide and has more than 500 salons and 18 own academies. Toni & Guy salons are located on all continents except Antarctica.
