Name Origin
It was named April 17, 2001 in connection with the location on the territory of Luzhniki - the area in the bend of the Moscow River on its left bank, opposite the Vorobyovy Gory , where until the 20th century there were flood meadows and the village of Luzhnikovo, mentioned in a letter of 1472 .
Description
The street runs right along the border of the territory of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex , along which its structures are registered. From the beginning and the end it is limited by the Luzhnetskaya embankment ; it runs almost parallel to the Third Ring Road . All buildings belong to house 24, this house is a βcity in a cityβ. On the other side of the carriageway is Novoluzhnetsk passage , for example, opposite the building of the General Directorate - Shopping Center Hermes. In addition, in most directories, organizations at 24 have an address along Luzhnetskaya Embankment. In this regard, the delimitation of the three streets - Luzhnetskaya embankment, Novoluzhnetskiy passage and Luzhniki street - is a certain difficulty.
Access is limited, public transport on the street runs only on the section from Komsomolsky Prospekt to Luzhnetskaya Embankment ( buses of routes No. 64, 216, 255, C12, t79). Cars are parked along the street, most of which are owned by fair traders.
