Eichi, Susan

Susan Carleton Athey (born November 29, 1970 , Boston , Massachusetts , USA ) is an American economist, macroeconomic researcher, professor at Stanford University , and the first female laureate of the J. B. Clark medal. Microsoft Consultant, Researcher at Microsoft Research (2007—2014).

Biography

Susan Eity was born in Boston, and raised in Rockville ( Maryland ). The daughter of a physicist and English teacher.

At the age of 16, she entered Duke University, where she completed three directions in the undergraduate degree: economics, mathematics, and computer science. She received her Ph.D. at 24 from Stanford University School of Business . Her scientific consultants were Professors Paul Milgrom and Donald John Roberts .

After receiving her Ph.D., she worked for six years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a teacher ( Eng. Assistant Professor ), associate professor ( Eng. Associate Professor ) and professor ( Eng. Castle Krob Career Development Chair Professor ). After that, she returned to Stanford , at the Department of Economics, where she worked for five years as a professor ( born Holbrook Working Chair Professor ). Then, until 2012, he was a professor at Harvard University .

Currently a professor at Stanford Business School.

Husband (since 2002) - Guido Imbens , Professor of Econometrics, Stanford University. They have three children.
