It is located in the western part of the region, 21 km southeast of Rudny , 7 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Yelenka River. 8 km south-east of the village is the Gusino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in October 1943 . [one]
