Biography
Born in Sverdlovsk , in a family of professional musicians. Father, Alexei Ivanovich Lyadov, was a soloist of the Sverdlovsk Opera House (tenor), then worked as a violinist in the orchestra (in addition to violin, played the saxophone and mandolin ), in the 1960s and 1970s he worked as regent of the church choir of St. Nicholas Church in Makeevka (village Grigoryevka) Donetsk region . Mother, Julia Petrovna Lyadova (nee Samoilova; 1902-1980), a choirmaster by training, conducted amateur groups, she sang for a long time in the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic .
She began to study music in early childhood. Parents seriously prepared her for a pianist career. First, a home teacher was invited, then they assigned to a music school to the famous teacher Vanda Antonovna Bernhard-Tshaska (a student and, later, assistant B. Stavenhagen ). At the age of 10, having survived a big competition, Lyudmila entered the children's department of the Sverdlovsk Conservatory under Professor B. S. Marants .
From the age of 11, the girl played the most complex works of the classical repertoire at school evenings, holidays, in the club where her mother worked, participated in shows, festivals, and competitions. A big event for her was a performance with an orchestra conducted by Mark Paverman on the stage of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic . Then she played a Mendelssohn concert, and a year later with the same orchestra she performed the famous First Tchaikovsky concert, works by Rachmaninov and Liszt . Their duet was very popular, they embarked on a long creative tour of the country, but in 1951 he broke up on the initiative of Lyadova. Nobody advertised the exact reason for the breakup, but Lyudmila Alekseevna hinted more than once that she saw a lot of anger and envy from her partner in relation to herself. Perhaps this is what prompted new work and new opportunities.
