Voronezh State Pedagogical University

In 1931 the Voronezh Agrarian Pedagogical Institute (VAPI) was formed. A year later, the institute was given the name of the famous Soviet historian - Marxist M. Pokrovsky , openly correspondence course .

In 1934, the departments were converted into faculties . 1941 was marked for the university by the appearance in it of a 3-year institute of foreign languages. The following year, due to the war, the institute was evacuated to the city of Urzhum, Kirov Region , and in 1944 returned.

The Department of Foreign History of the Institute is one of the oldest departments of the Pedagogical University and the Faculty of Humanities. Given that the department of universal history (the original name) was formed in 1934. From 1955 to 1980, the department of universal history as an independent unit was absent in the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute. In 1980, on the initiative of associate professor Sapronova N. T. from the Department of History of the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute, the Department of General History was allocated. In 1990, it was transformed into the department of foreign history.

In 1981, the institute was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor for success in personnel education. And in 1993, the institute was given the title of university.

In 2000, the Center for International Cooperation was opened, and in 2007 - the Center for Continuing Education. Currently, the university has 7 faculties:

The Voronezh State Pedagogical University works together with the universities of Rennes ( France ) and Yanchen ( China ). Collaborates with leading universities of the country, government agencies and public organizations

It consists of the following departments: Biology, chemistry, geography and economics, ecology and nature management, tourism and service. In September 2014, the university opened the headquarters of student groups with several work directions: teams of guides, counselors, construction teams and teams of operational orientation. It belongs to the Voronezh regional branch of the youth all-Russian public organization “Russian student teams”.

The most popular direction is pedagogical activity in children's health-improving institutions of the Voronezh region and the Black Sea coast. The leader’s psychological-pedagogical group, The Leader of Time-2, is engaged in all the activities of the leader.

In the summer, from the beginning of July to the beginning of September, the guides of the Vector student group come to work.

For the protection of law and order in the campus and the city of Voronezh is monitored by the operational unit, which cooperates directly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Voronezh.

Fighters of student groups regularly attend meetings, district schools and festivals in other regions of the Russian Federation.
