The “Attack” memorial was built on the site of the 1941–1944 defense line of the Oranienbaum bridgehead , in 1969 (architect A.I. Alymov, sculptors E.M. Agayan, B.A. Svinin, engineer V.M. Ioffe).

The T-34 tank, which participated in the January battles of 1944, was hoisted on a 6-meter concrete pedestal. The plaque mentions the units and formations that stopped the German offensive in September 1941 and held the line until the advance of the army of L. A. Govorov .
