Biography

Zhu Rongji was born in Changsha , the capital of Hunan Province . In 1951 he graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing .

Descendant of the overthrown Ming Dynasty . Zhu Rongji joined the Chinese Communist Party in October 1949. He studied electrical engineering at the prestigious Tsinghua University. After his graduation, during the year he worked as deputy head of the production planning cabinet of the planning department of the Ministry of Industry of Northeast China.
