Group History
1969-1978
At this time, Kim Breitburg is just beginning his musical activity. In 1969 he created the ensemble "Kordy" (which was the original version of "Dialogue"), then in 1974 he worked with the Forsage group, and in 1975 - 1977 . member of the group "Gaudeamus". In 1978, on the basis of the ensemble "Kordy" gathers a group "Dialogue", since that time the team has the status of a professional.
1978-1990
The period of the heyday of the group. In 1980, Dialogue participates in the Spring Rhythms festival. The albums of the group were recorded and officially released. "Dialogue" appears in many cities of the USSR .
1990 - present time
In 1989, the group joined the brothers: Valery Meladze and Konstantin Meladze . In 1990, Yevgeny Fridland became the producer of the group, but the popularity of the group at that period of time continued to plummet.
1991 was the last in the official history of the group. The Meladze brothers leave the group due to financial disagreements related to renting a studio to record an album, as well as a creative clash between two composers, Breitburg and K. Meladze [1] . Kim becomes a sound producer , participating in recording albums Valery Meladze (1992-1999), " Bravo " (1990-1998), " Bakhyt-Kompot " (1990-2000), Nikolai Trubach (1997-2000).
In 2006, some media claimed that Kim Breitburg would reinstate the group. At the festival “ Slavianski Bazaar-2006 ” Kim Breitburg, along with the rest of the old members of the group (V. Litvinenko, A. Deinega, V. Radievsky), sang a new song - “Pass” . In July 2009, they performed the composition “Night Rain” in the program “Saturday Evening” with the same composition. At the Slavianski Bazaar-2010 festival, Breitburg, answering journalists ’questions about the revival of the group, said: “ We don’t plan to perform with the Dialog group because there are problems with the health of some members of the group. So in the near future, the reunification of the Dialogue group is not expected . Drummer Anatoly Deinega, whom the band members called “Day,” died in August 2014 after a serious illness. It was thanks to him and his wife, who noticed the Meladze brothers at a dance at the institute, that the group members got acquainted with Valery and Konstantin Meladze [2]
Valery Meladze in 1991-1994
After the dissolution of the Dialogue group, Valery Meladze, together with his brother Konstantin, guitarist Viktor Litvinenko and a fellow student at NKI Oleg Pruglo, create the Drama band, which they perform in 1992-1994 (most often in Nikolaev). Most of the repertoire consisted of songs included in the album “Sir” and not included in this record (“Martian”, “Flamingo”, “If Elvis Presley ” and “Dance With Me”).
Interesting Facts
- In 2016, Kim Breitburg admitted [3] that he “became the frontman in“ Dialogue ”of despair”:
| We had attempts to find soloists. I wrote music, was the main ideologue. And this promise, which was laid in the music, had to be adequately conveyed to the audience. All attempts to invite soloists ended in failure. They had no meaning in what they were doing. In the end, I started to sing myself. |
