Biography
In 1303, he nominally succeeded his dead father and bore the title of Palatine of Burgundy until his death. But really the county since 1295 under the contract belonged to the French king Philip IV the Beautiful . Subsequently, it was assigned as a dowry to Robert's elder sister, Jeanne of Burgundy , who married the second son of Philip IV , the future king Philip V.
As a result, Robert was deprived of his paternal inheritance, but he had to inherit the county of Artois from his mother. However, he died in his early youth, and his mother survived him. Buried in the abbey of Saint-Denis .
