Biography

Born May 11, 1955 in Camargo in the family of Jose Arfuch and Cecilia Martinez. Father had Lebanese roots. Brother - Saul Ernesto. Her childhood was tragic - in 1958, her paternal grandmother died, and in 1959, her father José Arfuch dies, and since then she has lost touch with Lebanese roots and she was brought up in Mexican traditions [1] . She dreamed of becoming a doctor and moved to Mexico City with her friend, and entered the National Autonomous University, while her friend dreamed of becoming an actress and wanted to enter the acting department of the Academy of Andres Soler and persuaded Maria to go and support her in exams. Luis Jimeno, who headed the Academy at that time, when he saw the future actress and singer and girlfriend, replied, “ Would you like to read something to us ?” The future actress and singer refused, she wanted to become a doctor. Succumbing to the entreaties of Luis Jimeno, she still decided to read several fragments from the Mexican classics and read them brilliantly, and her friend could not read anything and failed in the exam. So she became a student at the Andres Soler Academy and left the National Autonomous University. 15 days after the beginning of the study of the future actress and singer at the Andres Soler Academy, the greatest Ignacio Retes got a job there and, by the choice of many, she was appointed by the order of Ignacio Retes an extras- teacher of the Andres Soler Academy. At the end of the year, she was nominated for the prize "Best Young Actress" and from that moment her acting career began. She really wanted to act in films all over the world, however, the plans were not destined to come true, because she realized that talent was necessary in order to combine two things - personal and professional life. She was the radio host of the broadcast, although she forgot to turn off the microphone until she received a reprimand from the owner of the studio. He is one of the most famous actresses in Mexico. Also engaged in a singing career. She became known in Russia thanks to the role of Daniela Lorente in the TV series “ My Second Mom ”. A famous Mexican TV figure, television announcer Neftali Lopez Pause came up with her stage name, believing that the surname Arfuch sounds awful and no one will remember this surname. “ You will be Maria Sorte ” and since then the pseudonym has taken root in the actress. Translated from Italian - Sorte - is luck [2] .

In 1978, the actress met with the famous Latin American politician Javier Garcia Paniagwa. The couple has been together for 22 years, they had sons Javier Adrian and Omar Hamid. The first child, actress Maria Sorte lost even during pregnancy, without leaving him and 3 months. On November 24, 1998, the actress’s husband suddenly died of a myocardial infarction at his ranch in a suburb of Guadalajara . The sad news for the actress and singer on the set of the series Privilege to Love and refused to continue filming. A tragic coincidence, but it was precisely the oath before the altar “ even death will not separate us ” that Mary did not utter - she believed that marriage destroys love , because in marriage it gives way to obligations. After the death of her husband, the actress devoted herself to religion and took up the education of her grandchildren, who are already seven. Both sons of the actress became fathers at the age of 20 and are rightfully considered to be fathers of many children. The names of her two granddaughters are known - Natalia and Valeria, who want to follow in the footsteps of their famous grandmother. After the death of her husband, Javier, the actress and singer vowed never to marry again and mourn for her husband until the end of her days, because he was the love of her life.

After the birth of sons, the actress and singer no longer acted in semi-naked form for the covers of glossy magazines and flatly refused to go to Hollywood to leave the family.

Some scenes of the series “My Second Mom”, in particular, the rape of the heroine Daniela Lorente, were held in Mexico City , in the park of Mikskoak district in the summer, but that day was the coldest night [3] . Thanks to this television series, the actress was recognized all over the world, but for the role she had to significantly change her image - the producers of the series Juan Osorio Ortiz and Alejandro Yakkiya suggested she dye her hair black. The series "My Second Mom" was a popular series not only in Russia, but also in native Mexico. Actor Enrique Novi , when the telenovela was nominated for the TVyNovelas award , said that thanks to the role of Daniela Lorente, the actress will take all the awards [4] .
