Voroshil Levonovich Ghukasyan (1932-1986) - Azerbaijani Soviet linguist , historian , Caucasian historian , specialist in the Udi language and the language of Awan (Albanian) inscriptions of Udi origin.

Born in the village of Nij , Azerbaijan , Udine ethnicity. He graduated from Baku State University .
He worked at the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR. In 1965 he defended his thesis on phonetic and morphological features of the Nij dialect of the Udine language . In 1973 he became a doctor of philological sciences, defending at the Institute of Linguistics of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR a study on the topic “Relations between the Azerbaijani and Udian Languages”.
Of particular note is the release by him in 1974 of the "Udin-Azerbaijan-Russian Dictionary", which remains the only large collection of vocabulary of both dialects of the modern Udin language (Nij and Wartashen). Author of many other articles on the Udi language . Many of his works were signed by G. Ted up. "
