Biography
Born in the family of a pastor in Silesia (Landeshut, now Kamenna Góra ) on August 31, 1925 .
In 1952-1990 he worked as a professor of theological faculties in various cities of Germany. In 1953 he defended his doctoral dissertation. Since 1989, at the pastoral ministry in the USSR , where he headed the Lutheran theological seminary in Riga . In 1993 he moved to St. Petersburg . Since 1994 Bishop.
He died in Munich on November 19, 2009 .
Rewards
- In 2003 he was awarded the Order of Merit to the Federal Republic of Germany .
- In 2005, the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexy II awarded him the Order of St. Prince Daniel of Moscow , II degree [1] .
