Front Formation
The front was formed on December 24, 1944 on the basis of the Special Moscow Air Defense Army and lasted until the end of World War II. The Central Front of the Air Defense along with the units and formations of the Special Moscow Air Defense Army included:
- Leningrad Air Defense Army
- 2nd Guards Fighter Air Defense Corps ;
- Vyborg Brigade Air Defense District
- 1st Air Defense Corps
- 3rd Air Defense Corps;
- 78th Air Defense Division;
- 80th Air Defense Division;
- 82nd Air Defense Division;
- 16th Separate Air Defense Brigade.
- Moscow Air Defense Group (based on units and formations of the Special Moscow Air Defense Army ).

Front Combat Mission
