History
In 1992 (the former military town of Kartaly-6) received the modern name - the settlement Lokomotivny with the status of closed city .
The status of the settlement of the regional significance since 1974 , the status of the closed city since 1992 .
The position area of the Kartalinskaya division of the Strategic Missile Forces ( 59th missile division [5] ) disbanded in 2005 [6] [7] [8] was located in the settlement area .
From January 1, 2017, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 493 of September 23, 2016, “On the Abolition of the Closed Administrative-Territorial Entity of the Lokomotivny Chelyabinsk Region Settlement,” the status of the closed city population center has been removed [9] [10] [11] .
