Ptolemy (died about 231 BC ) is the king of ancient Epirus of the Pyrrhids , who ruled around 239 - 231 BC. e.

Ptolemy was the son of the Epirus king Alexander II and the Olympics . He succeeded the royal throne after his brother Pyrrhus II .
Around 231 BC e. Ptolemy went on a campaign against the Aetolians , who shortly before that had seized Western Akarnania from the Epirots, but died on the campaign, struck by a sudden ailment. Power in the country was succeeded by his son Pyrrhus III , who was the last representative of the male line of Pyrrhids.
