Association Members
The members of the association are national associations of sports journalists from 130 countries of the world, including Russia. AIPS acts as a mediator between the international press, athletes and sponsors, organizes meetings and seminars for beginning journalists.
Creation History
July 2, 1924 in Paris at the international congress of representatives of the sports press, it was decided to create an international professional organization - the International Sports Press Association, which today unites almost one hundred and fifty national unions ( The International Sports Press Association, AIPS ).
Sports Journalist Day
Every year since 1995, the International Day of Sports Journalist is celebrated at the initiative of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
Russia
In Russia, there is a national association of sports media representatives - the Federation of Sports Journalists of Russia . It brings together more than 80 subjects. The main goals are the development of sports journalism, the promotion of physical culture, sports and a healthy lifestyle, as well as assistance to veterans of sports journalism.
