2nd Trinity Lane

The second Trinity Lane is a street in the center of Moscow in the Meshchansky District of the Central Administrative District between Troitskaya Street and 1st Trinity Lane . In the side street is the Trinity Church of the Life-Giving in Trinity Sloboda , on the territory of which the Moscow Metochion of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra is located .

History

The name of the alley, as well as Trinity Street, is given for the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Trinity settlement , which has been known since the 17th century . From the 17th century, the Trinity settlement was located on lands belonging to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery .

Location

2nd Troitsky Lane starts from Troitskaya Street, runs north, then turns west and ends at the Church of the Moscow Compound on 1st Troitsky Lane.

  • House 6A, building 3 - a six-story horseshoe house built in 1935 in the style of constructivism. Here is the regional public organization Salus. As part of the Last Address civil initiative, in May 2017, memorial signs were installed on the house with the names of employees of the Comintern Ignatius Antonovich Rylsky-Lyubenetsky and his wife Lidia Volynskaya-Rylskaya [1] , who were shot during the Stalinist repressions . According to the information of the human rights society Memorial , at least 11 residents of this house were shot during the years of terror [2] . The death toll in the Gulag camps has not been established.
