Key Features
Billy, Willie and Dilly are the sons of Della Duck , also known by the nickname Dumbella, the sisters of Donald Duck . Initially, in animated miniatures, the children had to stay with Donald Duck for only one day. The 2017 Duck Tales series said their mother gave them her names — Jet, Turbo, and Rebel; but Donald decided to name the ducklings in his own way . 1] . That is how Billy (Huey), Willy (Dewey) and Dilly (Louis) appeared.
According to the comics, Billy, Willy and Dilly had to live with Grandpa Scrooge for a while, until their father returned from the hospital, where he got thanks to a joke of ducklings who put a firecracker under his chair. Scrooge and the guys live in the fictional city of Daxburg, located in the US in the fictional state of Calisota. Toddlers are twins and in order not to be confused, they wear t-shirts and baseball caps with different colors.
Billy walks in red clothes, Willy in blue, and Dilly in green. In ordinary life, they don’t wear any clothes below the waist, but they wear swimming trunks of the same color as their everyday clothes (Billy wears red, Willy wears blue, and Dilly wears green swimming trunks).

Cultural Impact
South Korean artist Hyunko Lee created the “Animatus” project - models of skeletons of cartoon characters, among which there is a skeleton of ducklings. Skeletons are created taking into account the laws of animation and the characteristics of various characters. So, the animated nephews of Donald have whole-billed beaks, unlike real ducks, in which the beak consists of keratin . Interestingly, according to the artist, he distinguishes twins by their skeletons [2] [3] [4] .
