Biography

A pupil of the Kiev youth sports school on Nivki. The first coach is Alexander Vasilievich Leonidov. He played football from the age of 9, and a week after joining the section, he became the captain of a team of his age [2] . In the sports school, Mizin’s football specialization was also determined - a game in the center in place of a defensive midfielder.

Club career

Since 1992, he played for Dynamo Kyiv . First for a take, and a little later - for the basis. As a football player himself admits, Pavel Yakovenko had a great influence on his formation as a player [3] .

In the middle of the 1995/96 season, he left Kiev, since under Jozsef Szabo ceased to be part of the squad, and moved to Dnipro . Then, with varying degrees of success, he played for Chernomorets , CSKA and again Dnipro.

In 1998-2000 he played for the Lviv Carpathians . Performances for the club were remembered by Mizin by winning 3rd place in the championship and participating in the final of the Cup of Ukraine. In 2000-2001 he played for Krivbass , from which he went to see Spartak in Moscow. However, the player did not fit the Russian club. Returning to Ukraine, he entered into a contract with the Kharkov Metalist .

In 2002-2004 he again played for the Lviv Carpathians. However, after the team left the major league, he left the club. Since 2004 he played for Arsenal (Kiev). Soon became the team captain. In total, he played 342 matches in the Premier League of Ukraine and scored 90 goals. He played 16 matches in European competitions, scored 2 goals.

Team Career

He played 7 matches for the Ukrainian team . Debut March 25, 1995 as part of the qualifying round for the 1996 European Championship with the Croatian national team .

On October 9, 1999, at the 90th minute of the Russia-Ukraine match, it was Mizin who earned a free kick, from which Andrei Shevchenko scored a fatal goal for the Russian national team , which did not allow her to go to the 2000 European Championship.

Coaching career

In 2008, he was an assistant coach of the Kharkov club, and in 2009 at the Lviv club. Since 2009, he worked at Neftyanik-Ukrneft, first as a sports director, and since 2010, as a head coach. In November 2011, he announced his resignation from the post of head coach of the Neftyanik-Ukrneft club due to unsatisfactory team results.
