Deadeye dick

Deadeye Dick is an American alternative rock band founded in 1991 in New Orleans ( Louisiana ). The group was based on three people: vocalist / guitarist Caleb Juillotte, bassist Mark Adam Miller and drummer Billy Landry. The name of the collective was borrowed from the novel of the same name by Kurt Vonnegut . For a long time after the foundation, the group could not agree with recording studios, and they had to compose the first album on their own. Among all their work, the song “New age girl” is especially famous, which, being recorded, immediately fell into the rotation of the radio stations of New Orleans and Atlanta . In 1994, the band was spotted by independent label Ichiban Records and reissued their debut album, “A different story,” for a wide audience. After some time, the song “New age girl” became so popular that it was inserted into the soundtrack of the film “ Dumb and Dumber ” and entered the top 30 of almost all music charts. The second album, Whirl, released in 1995, no longer had such commercial success, and because of this, the group disbanded. Caleb Juillotte and Mark Miller continued to work in the music industry, becoming producers of several small New Orleans bands.
