Name Origin
The lane was named in the 19th century by the Samara baths located in it. Before that, it was called Saltykovsky - according to the neighboring estates of Count Saltykov (now here is Catherine Park , formerly the garden of the Central House of Arts). Earlier, the lane was known as Bozhedomskaya Street.
Location
Samara Lane began as a continuation of Delegatskaya Street from Durov Street and passed northeast past Catherine Park (on the left) to Olympic Avenue.
