The final match took place on November 16, 2008 at the Central Stadium of the city of Alma-Ata .
The winner of the Cup was FC Aktobe , who beat FC Alma-Ata in the final.
Since Aktobe also became the champion of the country, Alma-Ata and Megasport (Alma-Ata) ceased to exist, but Kaisar (Kyzylorda), Zhetysu (Taldykorgan) and Shakhtar (Karaganda) did not pass UEFA licensing, the right to participate in the Europa League passed to Okzhetpes from Kokshetau.

The draw of the first two rounds took place on March 14, 2008 at the FFK office.
The competition participants were divided into 3 baskets: in the first there were clubs of the first league, in the third - the first 8 clubs following the results of last year’s championship of the country, in the second - the remaining clubs of the Premier League.
