Until February 15, 2008 it was called Municipal District No. 66. The name was changed in accordance with the Law of St. Petersburg “On Amending the Law of St. Petersburg“ On the Territorial Structure of St. Petersburg ”and certain laws of St. Petersburg in the field of the territorial structure of St. Petersburg and the organization of local government in St. Petersburg . "
From January 1, 2020, the municipal district Black River will be called the municipal district Lanskoy [2] .
