Biography

Brown is a graduate of the Estudiantes club, for which he played for the first half of his football career. Together with the “lions" Brown won two championships in Argentina. In 1986, already a player in the Colombian Atletico Nacional, Brown became the world champion. And in the final game, he opened the scoring, scoring his only goal for a career in the national team. He played for Argentina from 1983 to 1990, spent 36 matches and scored one goal.

At the end of his career, the player became a coach. At first, he worked for some time as an assistant coach and coach of the second teams with Oscar Ruggeri in San Lorenzo and Carlos Bilardo in Boke Juniors. Then he acted in a coaching tandem with Hector Enrique in two clubs - Almagro and Nueva Chicago.

At the end of 2007, he led the Argentine national team among players under 17 years old. His responsibilities included interacting with the national team coach until the age of 20 - a former partner in the national team during the playing career of Sergio Batista . Jose Luis Brown joined the coaching staff of the Argentine national team at the Beijing Olympics , helping Batista. The national team of Argentina for the second time in a row became the Olympic champion.
