He worked as an employee of the Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin . He was particularly interested in studying the works of Marina Tsvetaeva and her memories. Then he went to work at the State Literary Museum .
More than 35 years working on the compilation of a bibliography of Russian poets of the first half of the XX century . The work is based on the publication in 1966 of the book by A. Tarasenkov “Russian poets of the XX century. 1900-1955 ".
In 2004, a new edition was released. The volume of the publication almost doubled; changes were also made to the structure of the book. The latest edition of the guide (2007) covers the books of Russian poets from 1900 to 1960.
