Russian spelling of a surname and name
According to the rules of the Finnish-Russian practical transcription, the surname Pöykiö is spelled Pöukiyo or Pöyukö, but in the Russian press there are also variants Pöykyö and Pökiö [3] . In the Russian-language media, there are also many other options, including Peykio, Peykio, Poikyo (the most frequent option), Poikyo. It should also be noted that “e” in many media outlets is no different from “e”. However, such spellings are the result of ignorance of the correct source variant and proper transcription.
The Russian spelling of the name of the skater in the media is also different - in addition to Susanna, there are occasional variants of Susanna, Susanna and Susanna.
The stress on both the surname and the name falls on the first syllable, as in Finnish in general.
