History
The construction of the village was started in 1959 . The village was created in connection with the construction of factories near the aerospace industry (a branch of the Kuybyshevsky motor-building plant named after Frunze and a branch of the Kuybyshevsky NPO Trud), residents of not only the Kuybyshev region, but also other regions of the USSR moved to it for permanent residence.
The first barracks were built, where construction teams were housed, then cottages were erected. In the same year, a separate post 29 HPV was built. From 1959 to 1960, five four-storey houses with views of the Volga River appeared in the village.
In 1960, by the decision of the Kuybyshev Regional Executive Committee, the village was reorganized into the working village of Pribrezhny, was subordinate to the Novo-Buyansky district of the Kuibyshev region.
In accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of December 23, 1955 “On the Procedure for Conducting Elections to the Councils of Deputies of Workers of the Newly formed Areas, Cities, Village Councils of Workers and Resort Villages,” March 5, 1961, elections were held in the Coastal Village Council. On the territory of the village 25 constituencies were organized and 25 deputies were elected. On March 10, 1961, the first session of the village council of the first convocation was held, at which a seven-member executive committee was elected and 4 standing commissions were approved. Chairman of the village. The Council was elected Izin Nikolai Ivanovich born in 1922 . Olga Sinotina , born in 1938, was appointed secretary of the executive committee. She worked until August 1961 and was released for health reasons. The Executive Committee was located at No. 3, Parusnaya Street, Apartment 28. On November 6, 1961, it was transferred to the premises of Post Office No. 57.
In 1962, the Zadelnaya railway station was commissioned in the village.
In order to assemble the best engineers and workers, the management of the factory and the village sought to create the best conditions for the living of employees and their families. New houses were being built, the infrastructure of the village was developing. 2 schools were built, one professional lyceum, a house of culture.
Despite the fact that the village was partially surrounded by forest, living in the village was complicated by sandstorms: on the south side between the channels of the Volga River and the railway there were bumpy sands - dunes. The bodies of the forestry enterprise until 1963 tried in vain to plant trees on the southern slope of the mountain on which the Pribrezhniy settlement is located. But the constant winds did not allow the forest to grow.
In 1965, at the request of the workers, the plant’s directorate appealed to the Council of Ministers through an authorized body (Regional Executive Committee of the Kuibyshev Council of People’s Deputies) on the allocation of several plots of land for horticultural workers. Thus, already in 1968, the first country-owned partnership “Zhiguli” was formed on the place of sand dunes. Subsequently, other gardening partnerships were organized: Golden Sands, Zheleznodorozhnik, Sosna, and Orlyonok.
The presence of cottages allowed people to organize not only rest, but also to solve urgent food problems. Gradually, the Coastal summer residents turned the desert into a flowering garden, which greatly influenced the improvement of the microclimate in the village, in particular, sandstorms completely stopped. In addition, in the early 70s, joint efforts of the village residents and forestry authorities on the territory near the dachas again planted pine seedlings, which, thanks to the changed climate, took root, which stopped the movement of sand.
The favorable climate, pine forests, the proximity of the Volga River make this place attractive for tourists. In the 1970s and 1980s, recreation centers “Topolya”, “Topolyok”, “Kuprinka”, “Kalinka”, “Strezhen” were built, which are still popular among residents of Samara and Togliatti.
