Dmitry Feliksovich Chernyakov ( May 11, 1970 , Moscow ) - Russian opera director, multiple winner of the Golden Mask award. Twice winner of the first annual international award The Opera Awards 2013 in the categories of Best Director and Best Performance.

Criticism

Dmitry Chernyakov was repeatedly criticized for introducing "innovations" in theatrical productions. The scandal associated with the premiere of the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila by M. I. Glinka at the Bolshoi Theater became especially well-known to the general public ^[1] .
