History
The Cape Verdean Football Federation was founded in 1982 . The team has always been one of the weakest teams in Africa and the world. However, in recent years, the progress of football in the country has been obvious - some players began to play for the middle clubs of the top divisions of countries such as Spain , England , Portugal , and in 2013 the team for the first time in their history passed the final stage of the African football cup and went to the play stage -off Cup of African Nations .

Stadium
The team held home matches at Estadio da Varzea ( port. Estádio da Várzea ), which is located in the capital of Cape Verde . The stadium was opened in 2006 and seats 8,000 people [2] . In 2014, the new National Stadium was opened there in Praia, which seats 15,000 people. The construction cost was about 12 million euros.
